Omaha, Nebraska – Oct. 7, 2014 – Proxibid (www.proxibid.com), the most trusted online Marketplace for buying and selling highly valued items, will be the exclusive provider of online bidding when VanDerBrink Auctions, LLC, brings the Lonnie Caudle Collection to global buyers on Fri., Oct. 17 and Sat., Oct. 18 at 9 a.m. Central, daily. This live auction will feature more than 600 tractors, engines, pumps, and signs from Lonnie Caudle’s private collection. Caudle has amassed a huge collection of gas and oil memorabilia, including more than 60 rare, upright visible gas pumps. Bidders will have the opportunity to bid onsite at the auction in Brinkley, Arkansas, or online via Proxibid.com. Online bidding in this auction is already available by visiting www.proxibid.com/vanderbrink.
Bidders may recall VanDerBrink Auctions from last year’s Lambrecht Chevrolet Company auction, where more than 500 cars were auctioned off for $2.8 million. This sale hails from Lonnie Caudle, a farmer with a passion for farming history, old gas and steam engines, and gas and oil petroleum collectibles. Caudle traveled across the country searching for rarities, and what he found inspired him to hold tractor and engine shows at his museum for 10 years. After a serious car accident in April of 2013 which resulted in a 3-month hospital stay and extensive therapy to relearn how to eat, walk and talk, Caudle was inspired to share his lifelong collection with the world:
- Lot 8LA: 1918 American LaFrance Fire Truck – This lot features an older restored Brass Era Truck with vinyl bench seats and a working siren.
- Lot 443L: Wayne Double Sided Clock Face Pump – This restored pump is in excellent condition. This piece would be an excellent addition to any collection.
- Lot 67L: Rare Novo 15HP Upright Stationary Gas Engine – This upright cylinder hit and miss engine is one of few to still be in existence. This engine is complete and runs perfectly.
- Lot 84L: Rare Steam Operated Winch – This rare piece runs on air and has a brake and clutch. It was used in a quarry that delivered granite to the White House and the Arkansas State Capitol.
“This sale is perfect for anyone looking to win a piece of farming history,” Yvette VanDerBrink, owner and auctioneer of VanDerBrink, LLC, said. “Buyers from around the globe are sure to find something incredible in this amazing collection.”
