Being a Logistics Agent at Proxibid has its perks. One of those perks is travel.
Many Proxibid Logistics Agents fly around the country working on-site to make sure auctions run smoothly. What does that mean exactly? It means a lot of hard work, but also opportunities to see and do things they may not have been able to otherwise. Recently, Logistics Agent, Ben Anderson, was able to do just that!
“I had some spare time with a lighter auction in Manassas, VA, so I went to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Virginia. They had some cool German Luftwaffe prototype jets there. It was a very impressive museum located next to Dulles International Airport,” said Anderson.
Travel plays an extremely critical role in the online bidding process. Proxibid Logistics Agents travel to the auction site and work alongside our clients to connect the auctioneer and the people bidding online in real-time. Not only is travel a large part of what Proxibid is about, so is passion. We are passionate about what we do and how we support our clients.
FUN FACT: Proxibid works with more than 4,000 unique auctioneers, asset owners, and consignors and buyers from 190 countries. Doesn’t that sound exciting? It is.
“I am very fortunate to be able to do this,” said Anderson, who seemed to have a great time in D.C. and at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. “They had a Concorde here, as well, with an SR71 like at Strategic Air Command near Omaha. I would highly recommend visiting both.”
At Proxibid, we pride ourselves on being a place where people can enjoy what they do. There are many benefits to working for a fast-paced, cutting-edge company. We appreciate our roots here in Omaha, of course, but are not afraid to get out and explore!
