It’s here! Tuesday, May 16, we are rolling out mobile live bidding to every auction on the Proxibid platform. As more consumers turn to their mobile devices to make important purchases, we’re excited to provide a solution to allow buyers greater flexibility in how and where they transact.
Our browser-based mobile live bidding platform has been designed with the user in mind. There’s no need to download a separate application – simply visit Proxibid from your preferred browser and start participating. The mobile solution provides the same clean, responsive, and user friendly design our users expect.
BidLock
In addition to mobile live bidding, we have introduced BidLock in all auctions and on all devices. BidLock adds another layer of protection, and protects from unintended bids. We know how easy it is to click on something by accident, especially on a smartphone. BidLock says goodbye to “pocket bidding.”
Now, when you launch Proxibid’s live bidding platform from any device, the bid button will be locked. Bidding can be activated by toggling the “Enable Bidding” feature. A pop-up message will generate, which the user must click continue. For more information on BidLock, click here.
Catalog Sync (Coming May 16)
We have also launched a new feature in mobile live bidding – catalog sync.
Never miss an item crossing the auction block!
This new feature may be familiar to those who have used Proxibid’s desktop bidding experience, because it functions just like the desktop live bidding window. The Live Bidding Window on mobile devices will sync the catalog view and lots in the ring panel. When you’re watching an auction in the live bidding window on a mobile device, catalog view will automatically follow the lots up for bid. No more scrolling and clicking on each item!
